Uriano Onyx, Marble and Bronze Antelope Clock
Magnificent art deco clock with onyx and marble base and bronze antelopes to the side. Although unsigned, this is highly likely to be a piece by Uriano, a French sculptor in the 1920s as similar pieces such as his 'Diana the Huntress' have the same bronze antelopes. In working order, this has the original French movement. The onyx and marble base and surround is in a beautiful cream and light green with only very minute nibbles to the edges. The face has some scratches and what appears to be writing next to a couple of the numbers but this is faint and only noticeable on close inspection. The bronze antelopes are superbly modelled and are in fantastic condition with the original ivorine horns. This wonderful clock is featured in Judith Miller's Art Deco: Living with the Art Deco Style book with an estimate of £500-1000. An absolute stunning and original art deco clock. Please note that this is COLLECTION ONLY from Canterbury, Kent or at an upcoming fair. I will also deliver within Kent.
