Swallows Marble Mantel Clock

Stunning art deco mantel clock with a pair of swallows. In working order, this has an 8 day winding movement with key. The solid marble base and surround has four different coloured marble and an unusual shaping with a chrome detail (a little tarnished). The marble is in excellent condition with no cracks; there are some very minor nibbles to the edges and one small chip to the side as photographed. The hands and numbering as well as the glass are also in wonderful condition. To the top of the clock, there are two spelter swallows which are very well modelled and lovingly painted (I have previously sold a similar version but the birds were not painted). It is missing the bell so doesn't chime but otherwise works well. A beautiful vintage art deco clock. Width - 40.5 cms. Height - 30.5 cms. Depth - 11 cms.
