Swallow Marble Clock

Stunning art deco marble clock with a swooping swallow. This beautiful piece is made from creamy marble with dark pink veins and a cream and onyx banded front. The marble is in very good condition with only one small chip to the top of the clock which isn't distracting. The clock itself has a quartz battery movement so no need to wind. The clock face is an unusual shield shape with a wonderful green numbering; there is no glass to the face but this actually just allows the face to be seen more and isn't obvious that anything is missing. The base unscrews for ease of moving / shipping. The spelter swallow to the side is lovingly detailed with a great patina; some scratching as photographed. A fabulous vintage art deco clock.
