Spelter Swallow Bookends

Stunning art deco bookends with spelter swallows on marble bases. The marble is black lightly rippled with brown and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The swallows are beautifully stylised with a lovely patina: one is slightly lighter than the other in colour. A wonderful and rare pair of original art deco bookends; likely to be of French origin. Height - 11.5 cms. Width - 11.5 cms each. Depth - 6.5 cms.
