Spelter Peahen Marble Lamp

Charming and unusual art deco lamp. With an oval base and a spelter bird underneath a chrome crescent arm and glass shade. An original from the art deco period, this is in working order and has recently been PAT tested. The oval base is a grey flecked marble and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The stylised bird, thought to be a peahen, is fantastically modelled with wings raised. The chrome arm is in great condition with only minor signs of wear. The shade is a delicate bell shape with a wonderful gold banding; again with no chips or cracks. Such an unusual shape for this vintage art deco lamp. Height - 27 cms. Width - 18.5 cms to base (21.5 cms inc chrome arm). Depth - 11 cms.
