Spelter Ducks on Chequerboard Marble

Rare and stunning art deco sculptured pair of ducks on a marble base. This original French piece has a fantastic black and white chequered marble base which is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The spelter pair of ducks are wonderfully modelled with tinges of green and gold to the tips of their feathers. In very good condition with some minor nicks and scuffs as pictured but doesn't detract. The ducks are just about to take flight over a stylised river or pond. A large and striking vintage art deco piece. Width - 52 cms. Depth - 12.25 cms (26.5 inc wings). Height - 28.5 cms.
