Spelter Birds Marble Photo Frame

Delightful art deco photo frame from France. The base is made from a lovely black rippled marble base with different coloured panelling to the front and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The spelter pair of birds to the side is wonderfully modelled and in similarly excellent condition. The glass pane can be positioned vertically or horizontally and has a very small chip to one corner. The back pane has been replaced with cardboard backing which obviously doesn't show once picture is in place Currently this has a paper print of 'Portrait of the Duchess of Valmy' c1924 by Tamara De Lempicka for display purposes. A wonderful and original art deco photo frame. Length - 34 cms. Depth - 7 cms. To hold photo of 20 x 16 cms (8 x 6.25 ins).
