Spelter Alsatian on Banded Marble

Beautiful art deco spelter Alsatian on marble likely to be of French origin. This is a superbly detailed Alsatian or German Shepherd with lovingly designed face. In excellent condition with no signs of age. The dog stands on an unusual striped marble base made from cream and dark red - also in excellent condition with just some minor small chips to the edges of the black corners.  The maker is unknown but could possibly be by French manufacturer Tedd who was commonly known for spelter animals. An absolutely charming vintage art deco statue. Height - 24 cms. Width - 33 cms. Depth - 13 cms.
