Signed Limousin Panther

Fantastic and original art deco panther. Made and signed by the French sculptor Jacques Limousin, this heavy piece is made from pewter with a wonderful patina. Originally it would have been on a base; most likely marble. Whilst this is missing, the panther stands well on it's own or could be mounted to marble or wood as preferred by the new owner. The panther has some scratches as shown but these do not detract from this well modelled striking piece. One very small hairline crack to the base. A fabulous vintage art deco piece of sculpture. Length - 38.5 cms. Height - 15 cms.
