Seagull Statue on Marble Base

Stunning art deco statue of a seagull riding a wave. The statue is made from spelter and has lovely gold detailing to the feathers. Very well modelled, the bird is in excellent condition. The marble base is made from three different coloured rippled marbles and is in similarly wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The bird detaches from the wave to make it easier to move. A magnificent example of art deco history. Height - 51 cms. Length - 40 cms. Depth - 11 cms of marble (15.5 cms including seagull).
