Seagull on Marble

Stunning art deco statue of a seagull riding a wave. The herring gull is made from spelter and is in excellent condition and very well modelled. The marble base is an unusual oval shape and is in wonderful condition with a creamy base with dark trails. The green spelter wave has some scuffs in particular to the back but not overly noticeable. A fabulous example of art deco sculpture and a nice version to find in the smaller size perfect for a mantelpiece. Height - 18.25 cms. Width - 27 cms. Depth - 10.5 cms.
