Panther Lamp

Magnificent and rare art deco lamp. With a large marble base and a spelter prowling panther. An original from the 1920s, this is in working order and has recently been PAT tested and rewired with an inline switch. The marble base is a browny grey with white flecking and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The panther is fantastically modelled with a charming face and beautiful streamlined features.  In excellent condition with minor signs of age only; some scratching to the spelter but minimal. The white glass shade is in similarly excellent condition with two small chips around the rim and so not shown once placed in the lamp gallery.  A truly spectacular vintage art deco lamp and much larger than the standard animal lamps of this period. Height - 22.5 cms. Width - 34 cms. Depth - 17 cms.
