Painted Pheasant on Marble Base

Beautiful art deco pheasant statue on a marble base. Likely to be of French origin, this charming piece is a spelter pheasant which has been painted with green and gold highlights. The bird is in excellent condition with no damage; some of the paint has rubbed away and shows pitting marks but only noticeable upon close inspection. The red marble base has a stylish black and cream banded front. In good condition, there are some small nibbles to the front corners and some scuffing as pictured. A striking vintage art deco piece.
