Odyv Clock Garniture with Panthers

Absolutely stunning art deco clock made by French manufacturers, Odyv. This is c1920 and screams art deco in its design. The clock has a stepped front with 2 silvered panthers prowling atop and also includes the matching vases - rare to find the set complete like this. In fantastic condition, there are minor flaws as to be expected of an item nearly 100 years old; all over crazing when viewing closely, a small nick to the glaze on one of the steps, silvering is worn to the top of the Panthers (showing the mint coloured paint underneath), the panther to the right of the clock face has a small chip to the back ear. The movement has been replaced with a quartz battery so winding isn't necessary! I believe the clock hands may have been replaced but if so, this has been done sympathetically. Signed to the base, this is a truly beautiful statement art deco piece and despite the minor flaws, would make a valuable and stunning addition to any home or collection. Clock measurements: Height - 22 cms, Length - 45 cms, Depth - 9 cms.  Vase measurements: Height - 15 cms, Length 15 cms, Depth - 5.25 cms.
