Rare art deco bookends by French sculptor Maurice Frecourt c1920s. The sea lions are spelter on a portoro marble base. Signed to each piece by this renowned designer who exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais from 1920. The sea lions are wonderfully modelled and in very good condition with patina to the underside. The bases are in very good condition with minute nibbles. A scarce and stunning pair of original art deco bookends. Height - 10.5 cms. Width each - 13 cms. Depth - 7.75 cms.
