Marble & Aluminium Lamp with Torch Shade

Rare and original art deco lamp with a very large frosted glass shade. The base is made of beautiful marble and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The stem is aluminium with nice wooden banding and is in similarly excellent condition; some minor scratches as photographed (the long dark line is just the cable reflection). The fabulous glass shade is known as a torch or torchière and is in a rare large size. The glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks; some faint marking. PAT tested and fully working with the base switch sill functioning, this 1920s lamp is truly magnificent. Height - 51 cms.
