Le Jan 'Dolly' Crackle Glaze Elephant

Stunning large French art deco elephant sculpture in a beautiful crackle glaze.  Titled "Dolly" and attributed to Le Jan (although the signature isn't visible), this is piece is dated in the 1920s. Very well modelled with charming features, this is in excellent condition. There is a small patch of original kiln firing frits attached to the glaze on the plinth. A large and impressive piece, this is a wonderfully iconic and original statue from the art deco period.  Height - 30 cms. Width - 42 cms (37 cms base width only). Depth - 12.5 cms.
