Large Spelter Deer on Marble

Fantastic art deco spelter deer figure. An original from 1930s France, this is a large and substantial piece. The deer is beautifully modelled and has a lovely patina with small signs of age. On close inspection, the deer has a small hole on its neck but barely noticeable (I only noticed when doing a close up photograph of the face). Standing on a fabulous marble base with a banded white and red marble front. The marble is in excellent condition with only minute nibbles.  A stunning vintage art deco figure. Height - 31.5 cms. Width - 45 cms. Depth - 12.25 cms.
