Josef Inwald Sugar Glider Figure

Stunning and extremely rare glass female designed at the Josef Inwald factory in Czechoslovakia c1920s. Thought to have been designed by Rudolf Shrötter, the Father of Czech pressed glass. She is known as the 'Sugar Glider' and is a large and impressive piece in excellent condition with no chips or cracks to the glass. The black marble base contrasts the figure beautifully and is in very good condition with two small nibbles to the edge as photographed. A spectacular vintage art deco piece to be the envy of all your house guests! Height - 28 cms.
