Jakob Bengel Galalith Necklace

Absolutely stunning necklace made by famous German jewellery manufacturer Jakob Bengel in the 1930s. His jewellery is very highly sought after. This piece is made from chrome with chocolate and red galalith (an early plastic made from milk protein and formaldehyde). In very good condition - one slight kink to the chain and on close inspection, one small chocolate coloured disc is missing however this is hardly noticeable. The larger galalith piece can be worn in either orientation. A truly spectacular statement piece of vintage art deco jewellery. The total length is 37 cms.
