Irenee Rochard Spelter Ducks Photo Frame

Absolutely fabulous art deco photo frame with spelter ducks. This is a signed piece by French sculptor Irenee Rochard whose work was predominately focused on animals. He was a member of the Society of French Artists and won a gold medal for his works at the Colonial Exhibition in 1931. The green patinated ducks are wonderfully modelled and is one of the more unusual birds to feature on art deco pieces. The marble base is in very good condition with minor nibbles. It has two glass panes with a charming floral border which can be positioned in a portrait or landscape orientation. A lovely original art deco photo frame. Height - 16 cms (to top of ducks). Width - 47.25 cms. Depth -11.5 cms. To hold photo of 18 x 13 cms (7 x 5 inches).
