Gibsons Tortoise Shell Coloured Barrel

Beautiful art deco biscuit barrel or tea caddy from the 1930s. In a lovely tortoise shell effect this has a glossy finish and a pretty gold leaf design to the body. The top, lid and handle are in chrome and nicely finished. In very good condition with no chips or cracks; there is some pitting to the chrome due to age but this may polish to a better finish. The inside is nice and clean. A delightful vintage art deco barrel to keep biscuits, tea or otherwise. Height to top of finial - 15.5 cms.
