Franjou Moreau Woodpecker Desk Set

Rare and fabulous art deco inkwell and pen stand made from marble. Made by renowned French sculptor Hippolyte Moreau and signed with his pseudonym of Franjou. The woodpecker is made from spelter with a wonderful bronze patina and charming orange glass eyes. The woodpecker is in very good condition with some minor discolouration to the spelter. The inkwell still has the original liner. The marble base is in similarly very good condition with no chips or cracks; there is some 'clouding' to the marble. A stunning vintage art deco desk set.
