Franjou Moreau Woodpecker Bookends

Rare and fabulous art deco bookends. Made by renowned French sculptor Hippolyte Moreau and signed with his pseudonym of Franjou. The woodpeckers are made from spelter with a wonderful bronze patina and charming orange glass eyes. In excellent condition. The patination varies slightly in colour to the back of one bird. The marble bases are in similarly very good condition with no chips or cracks. A fabulous vintage art deco pair of bookends by a collectable name. Width - 12.25 cms each. Depth - 7.75 cms. Height - 16.5 cms.
