Double Seagull Statue on Marble Plinth

Rare large and stunning art deco spelter statue of two swooping seagulls riding a wave on a marble base. The birds are fantastically modelled and the spelter tails and wings have a wonderful golden patina to them. Made in France, this original art deco piece is in excellent condition. The base is made from differing colours of rippled marble and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is some very minor scuffing to the gulls and green wave however this doesn't detract from this fabulous piece. The statue can be dismantled as shown. A very large and impressive art deco piece. Height - 47.5 cms. Length - 71 cms. Depth - 16.5 cms.
