Double Elephant Marble Photo Frame

Stunning and rare art deco photo frame from France. The base is made from a lovely black marble rippled with white, with raised layers of beige marble to each side. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The spelter elephants to the side are beautifully modelled and in similarly excellent condition with some age-related patination. It has a front glass pane and a cardboard backing. Currently this has a paper print of 'Portrait of Marquis d'Afflitto' c1925 by Tamara De Lempicka for display purposes. A wonderful, large and original art deco photo frame. Length - 50 cms. Depth - 7.25 cms. Height - 20 cms. To hold photo of 24 x 18 cms (9.5 x 7 ins).
