Clews Chameleon Ware Lilac Tea Set

Wonderful art deco tea and coffee set in an unusual lilac ceramic. Made by George Clews & Co in the 1930s and backstamped accordingly. The set consists of teapot, coffee / hot water pot, milk jug and sugar bowl. The tops have metal lids which have oxidised but I think just adds to the charm. In very good condition; for accuracy, there is a minute fleabite to the interior rim of the teapot, two small chips to the spout of the milk jug and a crack to the handle of the sugar bowl. None of this detracts from this fabulous vintage art deco tea set. Teapot: Height - 11.75 cms. Width - 23.5 cms. Height of coffee pot - 20.25 cms. Height of milk jug - 6.5 cms. Height of sugar bowl - 11.5 cms.
