Christopher Dresser Silver Plated Teapot

Stunning and rare silver plated teapot designed by Christopher Dresser. This is a licensed reproduction of the original held in the British Museum. This teapot has a magnificent diamond shaped body with a deliberate hole through the middle. The ebonised wood handle contrasts so well against the bright silver. In very good condition with no dents. One side has some pitting and dark marks as photographed. The finial is ever so slightly leaning. This design was an important piece in decorative arts history. Originally designed by the highly influential Dr Christopher Dresser for James Dixon & Sons. A fabulous art deco teapot. Height - 18 cms. Width - 25 cms. Depth - 5.5 cms.
