Catalin Lamp with Starburst Shade

Rare and stunning art deco lamp. The fluted stem is made from catalin (the follow on from bakelite, catalin was made in much brighter colours) with a wonderful butterscotch / amber colour flecked stem with lighter specks of orange. The base is a stylish stepped copper with a push switch which still functions. The gallery is in the same wonderful copper colour. In very good condition, there is some tarnishing to the base. The glass shade is a fabulous pink starburst design and in similarly excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Fully working as shown and recently PAT tested, this is a magnificent art deco lamp.
