Butterscotch Catalin Lamp

Rare and stunning art deco lamp. The fluted stem is made from catalin (the follow on from bakelite, catalin was made in much brighter colours) with a wonderful butterscotch / amber colour flecked stem with lighter specks of orange. It has been simichrome tested to confirm it is phenolic resin. The base is a stylish stepped chrome with a bakelite push switch which still functions. In excellent condition, there is just a small dent to the base but barely noticeable. The glass shade is a ribbed opaque white and in similarly excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Fully working as shown and recently PAT tested, this lamp is a magnificent art deco lamp. Height - 36 cms.
