Bronze Lady on Marble

Charming art deco statue. The lady is made from cold painted bronze and has a wonderful patina. She is in a semi kneeling position with arms outstretched holding onto a bough of roses. She is beautifully detailed and in particular has a lovely smiling face and bob haircut typical of the art deco era. There is some wear to the paint as can be seen but just adds to her charm. She is on a grey marble base in excellent condition with no chips or cracks with a fabulous white and green marble banding underneath. To the back of the bough are two very small holes where she was possibly originally holding something but this doesn't detract from this stunning original art deco piece from the 1920s.
