Black Ceramic Panther

Stunning art deco panther made from a beautiful black ceramic. An original from the period, the maker of this piece is sadly unknown however is likely to be a French piece of St Clement or Lemanceau. In a prowling pose, the panther is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There are some kiln frits (firing marks made during the manufacturing process) and some very slight fogging to the back leg which is barely noticeable. The photos do not do this piece justice! Any white marks in the photos are just reflection. A truly spectacular display piece of art deco ceramic history. Length - 46.5 cms. Height - 17.5 cms. Width - 11 cms.
