Spelter Bird Perpetual Calendar

Charming and original art deco perpetual calendar. The base is made from a beautiful creamy beige marble. The spelter bird is very nicely modelled in a swooping pose. The calendar is made from brass and the turning section has a picture of a world map to either side. In good condition with no chips or cracks to the marble - the French lettering to the calendar is yellowed and faded in spots and there is a minute chip to the tip of the bird's wing. The days cycle is stiff but does turn. A lovely vintage art deco perpetual calendar for a desk. Width - 15 cms. Depth - 5.5 cms. Height - 13 cms.
