Menneville 'Sur La Passarelle' Spelter Lady on Marble

A large and spectacular art deco French spelter and ivorine figure on marble. This piece is made and signed by Menneville which is believed to be a pseudonym for Ugo Cipriani and likely to have been made in the Silvin foundry in Paris. Entitled 'Sur la Passerelle', this lady has dinanderie patterning to her dress and the black and gold look striking. Her ivorine body and face are clean and beautifully detailed. The baby deer to her side is also spelter and wonderfully modelled. This large piece is in fantastic condition with only two minute chips to the back of the marble. Rare to find in such good condition. A truly stunning vintage art deco statue. Width - 80 cms. Height - 35 cms. Depth - 17 cms.

Please note this is COLLECTION ONLY from Canterbury, Kent or at an upcoming fair by prior arrangement. I will also deliver within Kent at no extra charge.
