Le Jan Crackle Glaze Fish

Beautiful art deco fish in a lovely crackle glaze also known as craquelure or craquelé. This fabulous piece is from France and designed in the 1930s. Attributed to Le Jan, a mysterious French sculptor, although unsigned. In excellent condition with a minute loss of paint to the fin (less than 1mm). A beautifully modelled and one of the less common subjects of vintage art deco. Height - 20.75 cms. Length -  27.5 cms. Depth - 9 cms.
