L François Silver Panther

Spectacular and original art deco panther. Designed and signed by L François which was a pseudonym for François Levallois; owner and sculptor at Sainte-Radegonde in the 1930s. Made from ceramic, this stunning panther is in a fabulous prowling pose and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is some 'smudging' to the silver paint on the top as photographed but this is minor and doesn't detract at all from this piece. The black base is also ceramic, in a sloping design and contains the signature. The base is in similarly excellent condition. White or silver marks are just reflection. A truly magnificent art deco panther and a wonderful statement piece for any room. Width - 41 cms. Height - 19.5 cms. Depth - 11.25 cms.
