French Swooping Bird

Stunning original art deco statue of a swooping bird. Unsigned but likely to a piece by Charles Lemanceau. This French design was manufactured in the 1930s. A beautiful deep cherry red ceramic, the bird is in very good condition with no cracks. There is one historic minute nick to the wing as photographed but only noticeable on close inspection. Any white marks are just camera reflection. This is a large and striking piece of art deco history. Height - 31 cms. Length - 28.5 cms. Depth - 16.5 cms.
